On June 28th, 2022, one of my feminist artworks was vandalized by a male visitor at Kimhongdo Museum of Art. Feminism poses threat to many who has grown into patriarchy, and the existence of feminists is so unbearable that some feel the need to destroy. For some who navigate this world, their very existence gives those in power the reason and motivation to break them. Inspired by this experience, I created a woman's torso intentionally hammered and torn apart for display. Audiences were invited to destroy or repair this piece.
